The Challenge

Flintshire Council needed to introduce the concept of placemaking to the wider public, explaining how data, design, and community voices shape more prosperous, connected towns. The animation had to reflect the distinct character of Flintshire while staying true to the council’s placemaking brand and resonating with diverse audiences across Wales.

The solution

We created 2D explainer video both Welsh and English, that visualises how thoughtful planning transforms spaces into thriving, inclusive communities. Drawing inspiration from local architecture and everyday life, we used a mix of vibrant townscapes and dynamic infographics to show how data, people, and place come together. A standout public sector animation with a forward-looking message.
We are really pleased with the outcome and it certainly does fulfil our requirements. The brief was met in entirety with a professionalism and passion from the team to both deliver the brief but also for the project as a whole, with genuine interest in making it the best possible version, taking all feedback and comments on board.

I had no idea on where ‘this journey’ would have led me to, but with Animated Technologies as a guiding hand, the journey and vision has finally come to fruition! I would have no hesitation at all in recommending both AT to anyone, who has an ’intangible’ idea or concept that they wish to turn into visual reality!
