The Challenge
Quoceant needed a compelling way to visualise their Q-Connect system—an innovative subsea plug and connector technology designed for rapid connection and disconnection of mooring lines and electrical cables. The animation had to clearly demonstrate both the mechanical complexity and operational benefits of the system for floating tidal applications, while staying technically accurate and visually intuitive
The solution
We produced a high-fidelity technical 3D animation that walks viewers through the Q-Connect system in action—highlighting both mooring and electrical connections, rapid deployment, and remote disconnection. Using advanced 3D modelling and animation, we recreated subsea environments and detailed connector mechanics with precision. This energy sector visualisation tool helps Quoceant communicate complex functionality in a format that’s accessible, engaging, and perfectly suited for the renewable energy and utilities market. A strong example of complex system animation for a forward-thinking energy solution.
