The Challenge

Gwynedd Council wanted to shift public perception around roadside verges that appear unkempt during certain times of year. The aim was to educate residents on how seasonal verge management supports biodiversity, helps pollinators thrive, and plays a role in tackling the nature and climate emergencies.

The solution

We created a bilingual 2D explainer video using warm, accessible visual storytelling with a focus on public engagement. Through educational animation, we showed how carefully timed cutting and reseeding helps wildlife flourish; turning roadside verges into vital habitats. A strong example of public sector animation that blends clarity with environmental purpose.
I had no idea on where ‘this journey’ would have led me to, but with Animated Technologies as a guiding hand, the journey and vision has finally come to fruition! I would have no hesitation at all in recommending both AT to anyone, who has an ’intangible’ idea or concept that they wish to turn into visual reality!

Animated Technologies understood from the start what we were trying to achieve with our video. They took the time to understand our brand, and worked with us to bring our vision to life. The final video was exactly what we needed, and the team were so easy to work with on the journey.
